Soft Summer Makeup Kit
In this post I’m giving you a peek into my professional makeup kit, at all the products I use for my Soft Summer clients.
I also show you how to create custom palettes and eye looks using these products.
Enjoy!
Products
Eyeshadow
Ben Nye Deep Violet, Denim, Indigo, Lavender Dusk, Lilac Grey, Misty Lilac
Colour Pop Say I Do
Makeup Geek Faux Fur, Friend Zone, Prom Night, Sand Dollar, Taboo, Unexpected, Vintage
Rouge Bunny Rouge Blackpepper Jay, Sweet Dust Seriema
These eyeshadows all come in tin pans that can be put into a magnetic palette. The Colour Pop, Makeup Geek and Rouge Bunny Rouge shadows will fit in 26mm wells, and the Ben Nye shadows will fit in 37mm wells. They’ll all, obviously, fit in a freestyle magnetic palette.
The Ben Nye shadows can be used both wet and dry – applying with a damp brush is especially useful when using a shadow as an eyeliner.
This collection has a good range of light to dark shades, gorgeous neutrals, and some lovely accent colours as well.
The shadows are all matte, with one exception, which I love on both Softs. Prom Night is a lovely shimmer for nighttime, but I find it a bit too sharp in daylight.
The shadows I use on clients most frequently are Sand Dollar, Friend Zone, Faux Fur and Taboo, though the Rouge Bunny Rouge shadows are recent additions, and I suspect I may use them often going forward. For brows I use Friend Zone and/or Faux Fur.
Mascara
La Femme Mauve, Mauve Sparkle, Misty Plum, Tea Rose
Makeup Geek Love Letter, Promise Ring, Soulmate
These blushes all come in tin pans that can be put into a magnetic palette. All the La Femme blushes will fit in 37mm wells.

Palettes
I’ve written already about how to make your own custom palette. You can use any of the products listed above, in any of the magnetic palettes linked in that post, to create your ideal palette.
To get you started, I’ve put together some example palettes for Soft Summer.

Eye Looks
I used the 3ina mascara in #100 for all the looks below, and Faux Fur eyeshadow through the brow.
These first three looks are simple, easy and wearable. They use 1, 2 or 3 eyeshadows, so it’s up to you how much or how little you want to do.
These next three are still quite simple to create, but offer more colour and drama.
And that’s it! Happy makeup-ing to all the beautiful Soft Summers out there.
